Participants will also understand the trauma, abuse and victimization associated with commercial exploitation of children and become familiar with the warning signs that trafficking victims may display.

Preventing the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children

The purpose of this course is to increase understanding of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) and human trafficking and increase knowledge of community resources available to victims. Participants will also understand the trauma, abuse and victimization associated with commercial exploitation of children and become familiar with the warning signs that trafficking victims may display.

This training is particularly focused on ways the medical community can identify and respond to signs of commercial Sexual exploitation of children.

Internet Safety

Child sexual abuse is an all-too-common, widespread issue. Many victims of child sexual abuse and exploitation live at home and attend school. These children interact with family, educators, youth-serving organizations, professionals, and the community. Therefore, awareness and prevention education are essential to protecting them. Because young people use digital technologies for everyday activities, this presentation will explain why internet safety matters, the risks associated with internet usage and how to teach them to protect themselves while online.

Love146: Human Trafficking 101 for Parents & Caregivers

In this guided presentation, participants will learn about the vulnerabilities youth experience and how they connect to grooming tactics. We will discuss realistic steps caregivers can take to identify and respond to suspected exploitation. There will also be practical applications for assisting youth in developing safety plans.

Participants will develop a basic understanding of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and vulnerabilities. 

Participants will learn about safety planning with youth and the resources available to support youth.

Mandated Reporter

The in-depth facilitator-led Mandated Reporting training by Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) Georgia gives participants the ability to recognize, react, and report child maltreatment, along with a scenario practice.

Raising Resilient Families

Resilience is often thought of as the ability to bounce back from a tough time. In this training we’re going to look at resilience as bouncing forward. Parents frequently model resilience for their children. Our actions – no matter how small – can have a big impact on our children and ultimately, on our communities. This training will discuss our responses to stress, the impacts stress can have, and ways we can promote positive childhood experiences and create resilience through connection.
