Triple P- Positive Parenting Program

(Level 2) Selected Seminar Series

The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is one of the most effective evidence-based parenting programs in the world, backed up by more than 35 years of ongoing research. Triple P gives parents simple and practical strategies to help them build strong, healthy relationships, confidently manage their children’s behavior, and prevent problems developing. Triple P is used in over 30 countries and has been shown to work across different socioeconomic backgrounds, family structures, and cultures.

 

The Level 2, Selected Seminar Series is designed to be a brief introduction to the Triple P strategies and will give parents and caregivers great ideas to take home and try out with their families. The examples and prompts in this series are intended for families who have children up to 12 years old. The series of seminars can assist parents with specific concerns about their child’s behavior or development.

Parents attend any of the three 90-minute seminars[SC1] :

Power of Positive Parenting: Caregivers are introduced to the five key principles of positive parenting that form the basis of Triple P. Caregivers are introduced to the five key principles of positive parenting that form the basis of Triple P.

Raising Confident Competent Children: Caregivers are introduced to six core building blocks for children to become confident and successful at school and beyond.

Raising Resilient Children: Caregivers are introduced to six core building blocks for children to manage their feelings and become resilient in dealing with life stress.

 

Other things you should know about this series:

·        Duration:  1 ½ hour for each of the 3 sessions

·        Training Modality: in-person or virtually

·        Includes: parent tip handouts, interactive discussions, Q&A, and a certificate of attendance
