Position Overview
The Georgia Center for Child Advocacy (GCCA) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Development Coordinator to support the organization’s growing fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the development department.
Working closely with the Development Director and collaborating with the Grants Manager, the Development Coordinator will provide administrative, organizational, and communications support that helps advance GCCA’s mission to champion the needs of children impacted by abuse and trauma.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and passionate about supporting a mission-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
Development Operations & Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the Development Director and broader development team.
- Assist with donor tracking, data entry, and reporting within the organization’s donor database/CRM.
- Maintain accurate donor records and ensure data integrity.
- Support gift processing, acknowledgements, and donor stewardship communications.
- Assist with the preparation of development reports, presentations, and fundraising materials.
Donor Engagement & Stewardship
- Assist with coordinating donor meetings, outreach, and follow-up communications.
- Support donor stewardship efforts, including thank-you letters, recognition materials, and impact updates.
- Help manage donor lists, prospect research, and relationship tracking.
Social Media & Communications Support
- Assist with creating and scheduling development-related social media content.
- Support digital communications that highlight GCCA’s impact and fundraising initiatives.
- Collaborate with staff to share donor stories, program highlights, and mission-driven content.
Events & Campaign Support
- Provide logistical and administrative support for fundraising events and donor engagement activities.
- Assist with event planning, registration management, sponsorship tracking, and post-event follow-up.
- Support annual campaigns, giving days, and special fundraising initiatives.
Collaboration & Team Support
- Work collaboratively with the Grants Manager to support grant-related reporting and donor communications when needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather information for fundraising and donor communications.
- Assist with development team projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree obtained or currently in progress.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant administrative, nonprofit development, or comparable experience.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning donor database/CRM systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience working in nonprofit development, fundraising, or donor relations.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (such as Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, Bloomerang, etc.).
- Experience with social media management tools and digital communications.

Work Environment
This is a full-time hybrid position based in Atlanta, Georgia, requiring a combination of in-office and remote work. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for fundraising events.
